Thank you for wanting to help us meet the needs of thousands of those struggling during the Coronavirus outbreak. In an effort to keep program participants, partner agencies, volunteers and our staff safe we are temporarily changing the way we distribute food by pre-boxing everything that goes to our partner agencies, and to our mobile pantries. To do this we anticipate needing to pack and distribute up to 100,000 boxes of food over the next 6-8 weeks.
Your help is critical! With that being said, we are limiting the number of volunteers we can take at one time and are practicing social distancing, and asking that if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, or have been exposed to anybody with these symptoms, PLEASE STAY HOME:
- Sore Throat
- Shortness of breath
We ask that due to health and safety concerns, only volunteers 12-64 years of age sign up to volunteer. We also recognize that our senior volunteers 65 and older are vital to our ongoing ability to serve those facing hunger, and please ask that you volunteer with us once the Coronavirus outbreak is no longer a concern.
Additionally, to make sure we do our part to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, volunteers who help us package the Care Boxes do so in large open spaces that have been setup to accomodate appropriate social distancing.
Please let us know your availability below and we will confirm when we can get you into the schedule. Thank you!
