Clients served at a mobile pantry stop.MOBILE PANTRY PROGRAM

Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin rolled out the Mobile Pantry Program in August 2003 to supplement the work of partner food pantries, shelters and meal sites operating in fixed locations. Working with a community partner, fresh and non-perishable groceries from Second Harvest Foodbank’s warehouse are trucked to a neighborhood site at a prescheduled time for immediate distribution to residents.

The Mobile Pantry Program provides another source of food to families and individuals facing hunger. It also gives Second Harvest Foodbank a valuable channel to increase food distribution so nutritious, non-perishable foods as well as perishable foods, such as milk, juice, bread and fresh produce, do not go to waste.

MOBILE PANTRY SCHEDULE

Safety is our number one priority at Second Harvest during this crisis.  Our Mobile Pantry Program has adjusted adjusted to as many no touch in-take practices as possible for distributions.  Mobile pantries will start at the advertised time and go until food distribution ends.  All participants need to keep six feet social distance at all times.  We ask that you be ready with your trunk open, if your trunk does not work volunteers will leave box near your car for you to load directly.  Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not come to pickup food. Here is this week's Mobile Pantry schedule:
