Our neighbors thank you. We thank you. (Video 6 of 6)

“Thank you,” is a two-word phrase that is one of the most powerful phrases in the English language. But after the last 12 months dealing with so many unknowns, “Thank you” just doesn’t seem like it’s enough to adequately express our gratitude for the outpouring of generosity and support from our community.

The last 12 months have been filled with uncertainty, fear, and anxiety. But thanks to you, those feelings have been met with compassion, resolve, and trust. Compassion for those affected by the pandemic, resolve to make sure no one goes hungry, and trust that Second Harvest is meeting the needs of those most vulnerable in our community.

Now more than ever, we believe it is essential to take time to reflect and appreciate your efforts and the efforts of thousands of other supporters just like you in the fight against hunger:

  • THANK YOU – to everyone who has supported Second Harvest through a gift of money, time, or voice!
  • THANK YOU – to those who have promised to continue their support while our communities recover – knowing that for many families, the effects of both the virus and the economic impact of the pandemic are going to take much longer to recover from
  • THANK YOU – to our partner agencies for being the face of hunger-relief for thousands of families, seniors, and children, many of whom have never had to rely on the emergency food system ever before
  • THANK YOU – to our staff and Board for being willing and able to set aside the way we’ve always done things, and embracing the way things need to be done now

On behalf of the thousands of people your support has helped…THANK YOU!

Please watch the following video series from our staff as we take time to thank you. New videos will be added to this page in the coming weeks expressing our gratitude to our volunteers, donors, partner agencies, food vendors, and the community, so come back often.
