MOST NEEDED ITEMS
Second Harvest Foodbank won’t discourage you from purchasing groceries at retail prices for a food drive or cleaning out your pantry and donating food that might otherwise go to waste. But we’d like to emphasize that your contribution will go much further toward ending hunger if you raise funds because every $1 donated can provide up to 3 meals.
For every 1.2 pounds of food donated, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin can provide one meal.

Cereal (hot & cold)
Cooking oil (canola & vegetable)
Flour (whole wheat & white)
Fruit (canned, 100% juice or light syrup) and applesauce
Juice (100% fruit)
Milk (shelf-stable & powdered, skim or 1%)
Peanut butter & Jelly
Pasta (dry, whole wheat & white)
Rice (brown & white)
Tortillas (shelf-stable, whole grain)
Liquid dish soap
Plastic food storage bags
Sanitary napkins and tampons
Tooth brushes and paste

Open, used or expired items
Homemade and non-commercially canned or packaged items
Alcoholic beverages or mixes
Rusty, badly dented or unlabeled canned or packaged items
