Walmart has launched its 3rd annual “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” campaign benefitting the hunger relief charity Feeding America.

Feeding America's mission is “to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.” Every year, the food banks that are a part of the Feeding America network provide over 3 billion meals to those in need.Fight Hunger Spark Change logo

Feeding America’s network is made up of more than 200 food banks around the U.S. As a member of the network, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin will benefit from the “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” campaign.

Walmart has played an important role in fighting hunger and supporting Feeding America’s work since 2005, when it became a partner of the organization.

Walmart contributes to the fight against hunger through employee engagement in the issue, financial support, donations of food, groceries, and personal care items, and cause marketing to increase awareness about hunger in America.

Participate in the “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” Campaign

The “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” campaign runs from March 28 to April 25 and helps members of the public join the fight against hunger in various ways.

When individuals buy participating products online or in Walmart stores, Walmart will donate the equivalent of one meal to Feeding America on behalf of local food banks.

Additionally, Shoppers can also donate to their local member food banks when checking out in-stores.

Walmart aims to donate $3 million to Feeding America and to help member food banks secure at least 75 million meals through the “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” campaign. To see an updated count of the number of meals provided by the campaign, visit Walmart.com/FightHunger.
