Invest An Acre LogoThrough the Invest An Acre Program, farmers can donate the proceeds of one or more acres of crops to help feed families facing hunger in southwestern Wisconsin. When you donate through the Invest An Acre program 100% of your contribution will go to Second Harvest Foodbank, or a Foodbank partner food pantry you choose in your community.

On average, every bushel of corn can help secure 18 meals and a bushel of soybeans can help secure up to 40 meals. When you donate a single acre, you are helping thousands of your neighbors to receive a healthy meal.

This program was launched in 2012 by ADM, The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Monsanto, and Feeding America and is now open to independent grain elevators.

To view step by step instructions, download this guide. To make a donation, visit a participating grain elevator (see below). Donations made to the Invest An Acre program will be matched dollar for dollar through June 30, 2017, or until matching funds are depleted.

For more information visit or contact Lisa Gundlach at 608-216-7212.

Funds from Invest An Acre may be allocated to a Second Harvest Foodbank food pantry partner agency. Second Harvest Foodbank reserves the right to review and reallocate gifts credited to partner agencies, should amounts exceed the average amount typically needed by an agency for a one year time period. Every effort will be made to keep the funds in the partner’s community, as requested by the donor.
