For every pound of weight lost, the Princeton Club and other sponsors will contribute 10 pounds of food – up to one million pounds of food to Second Harvest Foodbank. That’s 500 tons of food! Participants who don't need to shed pounds can join the Million Pound Challenge through an exercise option.

Tax Check-Off for Hunger ReliefFeed Wisconsin Familes While Doing Your Taxes!

For the first time ever, Wisconsin taxpayers have the opportunity to make a monetary donation to their local food bank just by doing their taxes. To participate, simply find the convenient tax check-off box (line 38i) on the Wisconsin Income Tax Form and enter the amount you’d like to donate. Your donation will go to Feeding America food banks serving Wisconsin residents, including Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

Kard Recycling & Shredding, in conjunction with ARMA-Madison and the National Association of Professional Organizers, is offering free, confidential shredding for the general public and small businesses at:

Friday, April 16: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Saturday, April 17: 9 a.m. -2 p.m.

Up to 100 pounds of shredding for free! Anything above 100 pounds will be charged at $0.10 per pound. All donations and proceeds will go to Second Harvest Foodbank. Cash or Check only. Refreshments will be served.

All-City Swim Meet pools outdid themselves with the 2009 Food/Fund Drive Challenge, raising nearly 132,000 meals for our neighbors at risk of hunger. That's double the number of meals raised in 2008. Learn more.

Chem-Dry Food Collection

Chem-Dry of Madison and Southern WI I & II collects non-perishable food donations from customers in Dane, Rock and Sauk counties and delivers the donations to Second Harvest Foodbank.

the office supply store for recycling end up in landfills. Help reduce the environmental impact of your organization's printing needs by donating certain empty laser cartridges (not home printer type) to Second Harvest Foodbank. Moving? Instead of throwing out good food, donate it!

Planning a move with Two Men and a Truck? Have food you don't want to move? Food on the Move is just for you. Unopened, non-perishable food and non-food items can be given to Two Men and a Truck crews on moving day for delivery to Second Harvest Foodbank.
