NBC15's Community Ties-- Helping to Fight Hunger

You can help NBC15 Chief Meteorologist David George look sharp and help a great cause! Now until the end of the year, David is inviting you to send in your new or gently used necktie and he may wear it on air. Please make sure donated ties are free of stains, wrinkles, and creases. The best part? Each tie that David wears on NBC15 News at 10, Kraft/Oscar Mayer will donate $15 in your name to NBC15’s Share Your Holidays to Eliminate Hunger benefiting Second Harvest. In addition, all donated ties will be forwarded to the local non-profit, Porchlight, Inc. You can mail your ties to David at:

Hunger Action Month is organized on a national level by Feeding America, and includes events across the United States that directly benefit the network’s hunger-relief efforts. From food drives to concerts, volunteer outings to advocacy work, there’s something everyone can do in every state in the country.

Join the 34th Annual

Madison Area CROP Hunger WALK/ROCK EVENT

Neighbors from different faiths, cultures, and ages, walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together we raise awareness and funds for local hunger-fighting agencies, as well as international relief and development. Some 2000 communities across the country take part each year.

fights hunger with a donation when you purchase Alterra Coffee

Second Harvest    Alterra Coffee Roasters has created eight new organic and Fair Trade Certified coffee selections to be sold through Roundy's Supermarkets (Copps and Pick 'n Save) to help raise funds for hunger relief. For each pound of coffee sold, Roundy's will donate 50 cents to Second Harvest.

Two Men and a Truck Food on the Move

Moving?   Instead of throwing out good food, donate it!

Second Harvest   Planning a move with Two Men and a Truck?  Have food you don't want to move?  Food on the Move is just for you. Unopened, nonperishable food and nonfood items can be given to Two Men and a Truck crews on moving day for delivery to Second Harvest Foodbank.
