Food/Fund Drives, Third-Party Events & Promotions

Alliant Energy Drive Out Hunger 2010Donations to Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin advance our mission of ending hunger in southwestern Wisconsin through community partnerships. We’re so grateful for your support of the Foodbank whether it’s by holding a food/fund drive or raising funds through a third-party special event or promotion (not organized by the Foodbank).

Since your business, school, congregation or organization is stepping up to hold a food/fund drive or event, you’re well aware of the food assistance needs of our southwestern Wisconsin community members at risk of hunger. However you may not know the true impact you’ll make by collecting funds and food for Second Harvest Foodbank.

Learn more about the power of donating funds and food below and then get started today! Our Partnership Packet will help with the planning of your food/fund drive or fundraiser and share ideas for managing it with little or no Foodbank resources. Click here to complete the Participation Form.

In addition to doing something wonderful for your neighbors facing hunger, if your organization’s food/drive or event is a top meal collector, it’ll be recognized in our Top 5 Food/Fund Drives & Events.

GIVE FUNDS

With every $1 donated, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin can provide 3 meals. How? Strong relationships with food industry donors and other avenues to obtain quality, nutritious food at reduced prices. A dollar goes much further in our hands than the common market.

GIVE FOOD

All-City Swim Meet Food/Fund DriveSecond Harvest Foodbank won’t discourage you from purchasing groceries at retail prices for a food drive or cleaning out your pantry and donating food that might otherwise go to waste. But we’d like to emphasize that your contribution will go much further in our community if you donate money.

For every 1.2 pounds of food donated, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin can provide a meal. These items are most needed by our agency partners to assist families and individuals facing hunger. Check the list of most needed non-perishable food items.
