Ads & Public Service Announcements
Advertising and public service announcement campaigns from Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin and our national organization Feeding America raise awareness for hunger relief across southwestern Wisconsin and our country.
HUNGER PREVENTION CAMPAIGN
The Hunger Prevention public service announcement campaign was produced by The Ad Council in conjunction with Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin's national organization Feeding America.
Hunger is a reality for 1 in 6 Americans, including millions of children, seniors and working poor. Yet the problem of hunger in the U.S. has remained invisible to most Americans. Many people have the misperception that it’s only associated with pockets of society. In actuality, we all know and are in contact with people who are affected by hunger.
Feeding America and the Ad Council recently launched a new public service advertising campaign featuring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Taye Diggs and Ana Ortiz portraying the real stories of hunger in America. The Real Stories PSAs were designed to raise awareness of the hunger issue, of Feeding America and our network of food banks and engage the public. They combat stereotypes about who is hungry in America, highlighting the fact that hunger is closer than we all think, but fortunately, so is the solution. All of the Real Stories PSAs urge viewers and listeners to get involved at FeedingAmerica.org and to reach out to their community’s food bank.
